MAKING THE ART OF PHOTOGRAPHY ACCESSIBLE THROUGH PLAY

Leica Playground is a familiar initiative of the brand, a lifestyle-centric consumer-facing experience created to make the Leica brand more accessible to the general public despite its premium reputation.

Leveraging on another project (a glass art exhibition) that my team was working on, we decided to propose a fringe programme, a fresh spin on the traditional Leica Playground, named the Leica Playscape, where the public would be able to experience the art of photography through an artistic lens.

Through the Lens of Darkness & Light

Inspired by the intersection of art, glass and photography, the experience was split into thematic activities categorised into Darkness and Light, reflecting the dynamic range of Leica cameras.

The consumer experience contained enriching hands-on experiences designed to let the general public learn more about the Leica brand as well as each camera’s specific capabilities, making photography less technical through the lens of art and the act of play.
